It looks like the day has finally come where you can buy BAPE online.  But don’t get too excited, it is currently only for people living in Japan.  So far the summer line up doesn’t have too many items but there is still a long way to go.  Here are some of the new Bapestas for summer 2009.

As you can see, there is now a button ‘Add to Cart’ .  When you click on it, a splash screen will open displaying a message in Japanese.  One of the options is for members with BAPE Card, which is BAPE’s credit card.  I am guessing that they are just trying out the new store for a little bit in Japan only, but in time they will open it up to the rest of the world.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they release it one country at a time like they do with BAPE stores.  This will keep the exclusive nature of the brand.

I don’t really know if BAPE is doing this to make more cash, or to simply get rid of the ammount of people selling fake BAPE online.  Either way, I am happy I won’t have to travel to New York just to get some more BAPEs.
