New KAWS + BAPE BAPESTAs Released

BAPE has teamed up with KAWS to create some new BAPESTAs for this summer. As usual when BAPE and KAWS team up, the results are always amazing. Check out the detail on the shoes below and see for yourself. For those of you who don’t know KAWS, he is a well known graffiti artis from New Jersey, USA. Back in the 90’s KAWS produced vinyl figures, which he still does through his company Original Fake selling toys like Bearbrick, Wallbrick, etc… In 2003 at a BAPE Gallery, one of KAWS sculptures sold for $400,000 so him and Nigo are pretty good friends. Whenever KAWS Bapesta’s come out, they get snatched up pretty quickly so if you want a pair, you better act fast. The price for a pair is $260 which is a good price.

BAPE FIREFOX PERSONAS
0If you use Firefox and are looking to add some style to your browser, look no further. With the latest updates to Firefox, you can now add personas which are basically themes for your browser.
Here is a screenshot I took of my browser with a Baby Milo Camo Pattern. I am also using iGoogle which has a multi-colour BAPE camo pattern. If you are not already using igoogle, I suggest you do. It allows you to customize Google to your liking and you can add all sorts of modules to your search page. Anyway, back to the BAPE Firefox personas.

Currently, these are all the themes available. It is actually quite a lot seeing as the Personas feature is relatively new to firefox. If you are not using the latest version of Firefox, you can install a plugin which will allow you to use the Personas themes feature.
Nigo’s Workshop – Hand Printed / Silk Screened T-shirts

For a limited time, you can get your own hand printed t-shirt. There are 6 designs to choose from. 5 of the designs feature Baby Milo in different samurai outfits. There is also one BAPE design featuring the ape head in different colours.
As you can see, the final result comes out pretty good. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by and pick one up.
A BATHING APE + NEIGHBORHOOD = BROTHERHOOD

Japanese clothing companies, Neighborhood and A Bathing APE have teamed up to release a Brotherhood brand. Nigo is long time friends with Shinsuke Takizawa, the founder of Neighborhood so it seems like a good idea for them to team up with this new brand.
Check out below for pictures from the first release of Brotherhood clothing. So far, there is hoodies, t-shirts and some hi-top BAPESTAs. I look forward to seeing else they come up with as time goes on.
A BATHING APE PIRATE STORE

Two new ‘A Bathing Ape BAPE Pirate Stores’ have opened in Japan. They have popped up before in the U.S.A. in September and December 2009. They opened a Bathing Ape Pirate Store in Melrose, California during the christmas holidays from December 26th – 30th. And earlier in September, they had opened a Bathing APE Pirate Store in New York City. Obviously, they had great success and are now doing the same in Japan. They also have a BAPE Pirate Store in Kobe, Japan and Kuruizawa, Japan. The stores in U.S.A. were only temporary stores, but I havn’t seen any dates indicating the new stores in Japan will only be temps. I hope they keep them open full-time and then open a full-time Bathing Ape Pirate Store in New York.
Also. they have released a 1 year anniversary shirt for the Bathing Ape Pirate Store with the opening of the two new locations.
